Opera Festival of Chicago: Pagliacci in Skokie
Opera Festival of Chicago is scheduled to present Pagliacci at the George Van Dusen Theatre At North Shore Center For The Performing Arts in Skokie, Illinois, on June 29, 2025. This performance brings one of opera's best-known dramatic works to a regional performing arts venue. The event is listed under Theatre and Opera on ticketsevanstonil.com.
Composed by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Pagliacci is a compact Italian opera celebrated for its intense emotions and theatrical premise: performers' private lives collide with the roles they play onstage. Its famous aria “Vesti la giubba” is among the best-known moments in the repertoire. The work's focus on jealousy, betrayal, and the boundary between performance and reality has helped it remain a popular choice for opera companies.
